Bayadere 5

The name “Bayadere” (from the Portuguese word bailhadera) is an European term for Devadasi, female dancers from India clothed in bright costumes, usually made out of striped fabric. The Bayaderas were women chosen to be married to deities and become temple dancers, in fact, according to the indian temple worship rules, dance and music are vital aspects of the daily worshiping rituals for temple deities.

Bayaderes were called akhanda saubhagyavati ("women never separated from good fortune"), they were treated with due respect and often presented with gifts. Their main duties were to take care of a temple and learn classical Indian dances, which they would perform at temple rituals.

Inspired by the fabric of the Devadasi’s dresses, the Auris Bayadere 3 is a powerful music temple on his own, stable and elegant with an exceptional design that combines layers of high quality aluminum and dark shiny kerrock®, reminding the colored stripes of the indian silk.

Discover the pinnacle of turntable engineering with the Bayadere 5, where sophistication meets simplicity to elevate your listening experience. At the core of our flagship model lies a revolutionary planetary design, seamlessly merging cutting-edge technology with timeless principles to deliver unparalleled performance.

Crafted with precision and passion, every element of the Bayadere 5 is meticulously engineered to fulfill two fundamental objectives: maintaining a constant speed and minimizing the impact of vibrations. Through innovative design and meticulous construction, we've achieved a harmonious balance that sets a new standard in high-fidelity sound reproduction, all at a remarkably accessible price point.

Base

Constructed from a fusion of aluminum and composite materials, our turntable base is engineered to perfection. While aluminum lends stability, the composite layer alters the resonant frequency, effectively thwarting the transmission of disruptive vibrations. The stands, crafted from the same aluminum and rubber sandwich, further enhance stability and vibration isolation.

Bearing

The bearing support, delicately suspended on rubber O-ring absorbers, ensures minimal vibration interference with the platter. A bronze liner, coupled with a chromed and electropolished steel spindle featuring a "Widia" steel insert, guarantees smooth rotation. Supported by a ceramic ball lubricated with high viscosity oil, the spindle boasts impeccable precision, culminating in a conical platter support that upholds system integrity.

Platter

Our choice of solid aluminum, with a substantial thickness of 40mm, reflects a commitment to uncompromising quality. By eschewing sandwich construction, we mitigate the risk of imbalance and its detrimental effects on sound quality and bearing longevity. Each Bayadere 5 platter embodies precision engineering at its finest, ensuring flawless performance with every revolution.

Tonearm Base

Designed to accommodate a wide range of tonearms, the tonearm base combines solid iron with an aluminum tube for optimal stability. The substantial weight and meticulous construction minimize external influences, allowing the tonearm to operate with unparalleled precision and accuracy.

Motor

Powered by a synchronous frequency motor housed in an independent enclosure, our turntable maintains unwavering speed stability. Encased in a sandwich construction of aluminum and composite Kerrock material, the motor is driven by our proprietary linear power supply, featuring a 32BIT DAC for precise speed control. The result? A silky-smooth, sinusoidal frequency that can be finely tuned to perfection.

In a world of complexity, the Auris Bayadere 5 proves that simplicity reigns supreme. While it may not boast extravagant weight or a colossal flywheel, it excels where it matters most and within it harbors precisely what defines a superior record player: delivering a stable, accurate speed and minimizing vibration interference for an unparalleled listening experience.
